KK Alkar Sinj, Pool One
KK Alkar was founded in 1955 in Sinj, a small but proud town in the Dalmatian region of Croatia. The club’s name comes from the Sinjska Alka, a centuries-old knightly tournament that is recognized by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage.
One of the most memorable moments in the club’s history came in 1982, when Alkar reached the Yugoslav Cup final as the only third-division team in history ever to do so. This remarkable achievement gave the club a special place in regional basketball history.
In 2025, Alkar celebrated its 70th anniversary season. That same season, Alkar reached the final of the Krešimir Ćosić Cup, creating the biggest sensation of the decade in Croatian basketball.
What truly makes Alkar unique are its fans, called "Maligani" – widely regarded as the most passionate supporters in Croatian basketball. The atmosphere at games in Sinj is legendary, with the community standing fully behind the team.
Famous players and coaches include Goran Sobin, Mladen Pavic Kembo, Davor Vuckovic, Stipe Vrcan (as coach).
The club is eyeing its European debut.

KK Dinamo Zagreb, Pool Two
The basketball club Dinamo Zagreb was founded in 1972 in the Zagreb neighborhood of Rudeš, rooted in the initiative of local enthusiasts who, for generations, built the sporting identity of their community. Over many years of competition, the club has grown from a small collective into a recognized part of Dinamo’s wider sports family, particularly through its dedicated work with youth categories and systematic development of homegrown players.
Proud of more than 300 children and young athletes who regularly compete in various leagues, Dinamo has earned a reputation as one of the most respected clubs in developing young talent. The appointment of Neven Spahija as the club’s vice president in 2011 spurred further modernization and sporting success.
In 2020, the club officially adopted the name Dinamo Zagreb, clearly branding itself as part of the broader Dinamo sports family and enhancing its visual identity, digital presence, and fan engagement. The club continues to expand its base of followers and supporters, both on the courts and in the digital space.
In recent seasons, Dinamo Zagreb has demonstrated significant growth in sporting quality and recognition. In just three seasons in the Premier League, the club reached two Croatian Championship semifinals, competed in the semifinals of the Krešimir Ćosić Cup among the top eight clubs in the country, and participated in the international Alpe Adria Cup.
The 2024/2025 season brought a historic milestone – the club’s first appearance in the FIBA Europe Cup qualifiers, with games against renowned European clubs. This not only confirmed the sporting progress of Dinamo but also opened the door to greater international visibility and new opportunities to attract sponsors and partners.
Thanks to a strong combination of digital and physical presence, Dinamo has become an extremely attractive platform for business partners and sponsors seeking to engage with a committed, locally oriented audience.
Throughout its history, the club has seen many high-quality players, with more recent highlights including: Filip Krušlin, Leon Radošević, Tomislav Zubčić, Damir Markota, David Grbešić, Krešimir Ljubičić, Hrvoje Garafolić, Ivan Novačić, Ivan Vučić, Matej Rudan.
Notable coaches include: Damir Mulaomerović (current head coach, former national team coach of Croatia and Bosnia & Herzegovina), Josip Sesar (former Croatia national team coach), and Vladimir Anzulović.
Dinamo Zagreb continues to grow as both a sporting and business collective, with a clear strategy focused on investing in youth categories, the local community, and the development of its own athletes.
Today, the club stands as an example of professional organization, sporting progress, and an attractive partnership platform, both within Croatia and beyond.
