Always outnumbered, never outgunned: a statement win for Kapoulas and Flyers



Five visitors finished in double figures as the Bristol Flyers posted the first win in 16 days after a 107-85 road success against the 2023 ENBL bronze medalist Polski Cukier Start Lublin at the Hala Globus in eastern Poland.

Bristol guards did outstanding job.


CJ Jackson led the Flyers with 24 points and six assists.

A former Eastern Florida State College and Ohio State guard was born on Europe day – May 9.


Trejon Jacob had a team high 25 points on 9/13 shooting from the field, including a 4/8 effort from the three point line.

A Florida International University star registered a team high three steals.

Tevin Olison posted nine points, six rebounds and five assists before he was fouled out.

Liam O`Reilly scored 33 points for Polski Cukier Start Lublin.

A former Gardner-Webb guard tied the second best shooting performance in the ENBL history.


Key stats

Bristol Flyers stormed out of the gates for a 31-20 lead after the first quarter.


Their finish was no less impressive, as the Flyers controlled the fourth quarter too, 30-19.

Andreas Kapoulas men attacked in the paint successfully, 62-32.


Bristol outrebounded Lublin, 44-28, especially on the offensive end, 16-8.

The Flyers had 28 assists on 42 field goals, while the hosts registered 18 assists on 29 field goals.

Bristol Flyers improved to 2-1, while Polski Cukier Start Lublin dropped to 1-2.


The Flyers have a 2-0 record on the road.


Start has a 5-0 win and loss ratio in the PLK home games and 0-2 in the ENBL action.

Four best teams from each group will qualify for the playoffs (A1-B4, A2-B3, A3-B2, A4-B1).


The 2024 playoffs – home and away, best-of-two series – will take place from February 1 until March 20.


The 2024 Final Four will take place on April 9-10.
