Tindastoll complete a massive comeback to eliminate Brussels Basketball

Tindastoll Saudarkrokur erased a 20 points deficit to defeat focused Brussels Basketball, 98-92, and earn a home court advantage in the first round of playoffs on Tuesday, February 10, at the rocking Sikio hall in northern Iceland.

Dedrick Basile scored 23 points for Tindastoll on 9/17 shooting from the floor.


A former Trinity Valley community college and Cal State at Bakersfield point guard went 4/4 from the three point line.


Basile registered four assists and two steals.


Taiwo Badmus had 17 points.


Irish/British small forward hit a huge three pointer with 80 seconds left in regulation for a 96-92 lead.


Sigtryggur Bjornsson and Dāvis Geks contributed with 16 and 15 points respectively.


Daniel Dolenc – a Tindastoll newcomer from Finland – checked out with nine points.


Alexandre Libert led Brussels Basketball with 29 points.


Brussels captain went 6/12 from the three point line and a perfect 11/11 from the free throw line.

The visitors took a 27-47 lead with 05.38 left in the first half.


Tindastoll answered with a 24-4 run to tie the game at 51.


Alexandre Libert took over again and scored 11 points in the third quarter on flawless shooting from the charity stripe.


A couple of three pointers by Dāvis Geks regained momentum for Tindastoll, 78-73.


The game remained wide open until the last minute, however, a three pointer by Taiwo Badmus quadrupled Tindastoll lead to four points, 96-92.


Brussels Basketball didn`t scored a single point in the last three minutes of regulation.

Tindastoll improved to 6-2, while Brussels Basketball dropped to 3-5.


Arnar Guðjónsson and his men earned a 3-1 record in front of their passionate fans.


Tindastoll secured a home court advantage in the first round of playoffs.


Serge Crèvecœur and Brussels Basketball posted a 3-2 record after a 0-3 start.


They deserve applause for their fighting spirit.
