First ENBL game in Iceland, debut for Alkar Sinj and Go+ Peja

Three games are to be played on Tuesday, October 14. Evening starts in a Romanian capital as the 2025 ENBL champions CSO Voluntari host newcomers Alkar Sinj. An hour later KB Go+ Peja will face Riga Zelli at the Pallati i Rinise dhe Sporteva in Prishtina. Finally there is the first ENBL game in Iceland between Tindastoll Saudarkrokur and Gimle Basket.



CSO Voluntari vs Alkar Sinj


Series history: CSO Voluntari (1-0) will face Alkar Sinj for the first time.


CSO Voluntari won at Fyllingen Lions, 104-64, in their season debut.


Alkar Sinj are playing their first European game tonight.


They finished runners-up at the 2025 Liburnia Cup.



National championships: CSO Voluntari are 2-1 at the Liga Nationala and 3-1 in all competitions.


Voluntari lost against Dinamo Bucharest, 93-96, on October win, then won at Galati, 83-60, on October 5, and defeated Targu Jiu, 86-74, on October 8.


Alkar Sinj are 3-0 at the Croatia Premijer liga.


Alkar prevailed against Dubrava Zagreb, 82-74, on September 27, won at Šibenka, 72-64, on October 4, and defeated Dinamo Zagreb, 74-72, on October 11.

Umpire 1: Josip Modric (Croatia) – the fourth at the highest level of the Croatia basketball league; has participated at the FIBA PNR in Vienna, Austria, April 14-19, 2025.


Umpire 2: Vlad-Theodor Cotrobas (Romania) – Liga Nationala referee from 2021, FIBA referee from 2023; has worked at the Romanian championship finals for Men and Women.

KB Go+ Peja vs Riga Zelli


Series history: KB Go+ Peja will face Riga Zelli (1-0) for the first time.


The game has been re-located from Peja to the Pallati i Rinise dhe Sporteva at Prishtina.


Riga Zelli won the road game at Dziki Warszawa, 93-91, two weeks ago.



National championships: KB Go+ Peja are 1-0 at the Kosovo Superliga.


Peja won at Trepca, 86-80, on October 5.


Six players finished in double figures, including Jordan Johnson (UNLV 2018), Tajh Green (Benedict College 2022), Dardan Berisha, Cesare Edwards, Alan Hemdon and Musab Malaj.


Berisha, a former Polish international, has played for Peja (2006-2007, 2012-2013, 2019-2022, from 2024), Anwil Wloclawek (2010-2012) and multiple times for Prishtina, including the ENBL.


Riga Zelli are 2-1 at the Optibet Estonia and Latvia league, and 3-1 in all competitions.


Zelli lost a home opener against ten time Latvian champions Ventspils, 81-90, on October 4, then won at Parnu, 83-76, on October 8, and Kalev/Cramo, 100-72, on October 11.

Tindastoll Saudarkrokur vs Gimle Basket


Series history: Tindastoll Saudarkrokur (1-0) will face Gimle Basket (0-1) for the first time.


Tuesday marks the first ENBL game in Iceland.


Tindastoll won at Slovan Bratislava, 80-56, in their ENBL debut.



National championships: Tindastoll are 2-0 at the Subway league and 3-0 in all competitions.


Tindastoll won at Valur, 87-85, on October 6, and defeated Keflavik, 101-81, in home opener on October 9.


The hosts went 16/36 from the three point line against Keflavik.


Gimle Basket are 3-1 at the BLNO and 3-2 in all competitions.


Gimle won at Nidaros Jets, 115-71, on October 11.
