Devil`s Servants against Iraklis, second home stands for Gimle and Slovan

Three games are to be played on Wednesday, October 29. Latvia and Estonia league finalists Riga Zelli will host a two time Greece champions Iraklis Thessaloniki. Gimle Basket will face Keila Coolbet as both teams are searching first win. Slovan Bratislava will host undefeated SIGAL Prishtina.



Riga Zelli vs Iraklis


Series history: Riga Zelli (2-0) will face Iraklis for the first time.


Latvian team won at Dziki Warszawa, 93-91, on September 29, and at Go+ Peja, 83-72, on October 14.


The Devil`s Servant`s against Heracles is a reference to the 1930s fictional novel The Devil`s Servants, based in 1621-1622 Rīga during Polish/Lithuanian and Swedish war.


The Devil`s Servants are Latvian defenders of Rīga – there is also a popular film with the same name, Vella kalpi.


Iraklis have a 95-79 record in FIBA competitions and will play their first game in the ENBL.



National championships: Riga Zelli are 4-1 at the Latvia and Estonia league, and 6-1 in all competitions.


Team enjoys a five game winning streak after home successes against Keila KK, 108-73, on October 18 in Rēzekne, and Liepāja, 109-71, on October 24 in Saldus.


Riga Zelli suffered their single loss against a ten time Latvian champions Ventspils, 81-90, on October 4 at the Daugavas kanjons aka Basketbola mājas aka Komandu sporta spēļu halle.


Iraklis are 1-3 at the Greek Basketball league.


A team, coached by Giorgos Sigalas, won its home opener against Promitheas, 90-79, on October 4.


Iraklis lost the next three games at PAOK, 82-84, on October 11, and against Mykonou, 73-80, on October 18, and AEK Athens, 61-82, on October 25.

Umpire 1: Michal Kuzia (Poland) – PLK referee from 2017, FIBA referee from 2023, has worked at the Alpe Adria Cup from 2018.


Umpire 2: Kristiāns Eglītis (Latvia) – Denmark top league referee from 2022-2023, ENBL referee from 2024-2025, now working at the Optibet Latvia and Estonia league.

Gimle Basket vs Keila Coolbeet


Series history: Gimle Basket (0-2) will face Keila Coolbet (0-1) for the first time in the ENBL.


Gimle Basket debuted in the ENBL on October 1 with a road loss against SIGAL Prishtina, 79-90.


Keila Coolbet lost their season opener at Manchester, 80-84, on September 30.


National championships: Gimle Basket are 5-2 at the BLNO and 5-4 in all competitions.


Gimle won the road games against Centrum Tigers Oslo, 84-72, on October 25, and Ammerud Basket Oslo, 87-73, on October 26.


Keila Coolbet are 1-3 at the Optibet Estonia and Latvia league.


The Estonians won at Viimsi, 98-92, on October 19, and lost at Valmiera Glass ViA, 80-97, on October 24.


Game has been re-located to another venue at Vilhelm Bjerknesvei 26, Bergen.

Umpire 2: Simon Nordeide (Norway) – has refereed in Australia from 2010 until 2013 at the QBL, second highest level in Australia; national referee in Norway from 2009, including finals in 2022, 2023, 2025, and semifinals in 2024.

Slovan Bratislava vs SIGAL Prishtina


Series history: Slovan Bratislava (1-2) will face SIGAL Prishtina (2-0) for the first time.


Slovan lost against Tindastoll, 56-80, on October 1.


Bratislava team ended its three game losing streak on October 15, winning at Manchester, 90-78.


A 105-108 road loss against Dinamo Zagreb followed on October 20.


It turned into a highest scoring game in league history – 213 points in regulation.


SIGAL Prishtina defeated Gimle Basket, 90-79, on October 1, and won at Brussels Basketball, 80-75, on October 8.


Game was re-scheduled one hour later due to TV broadcasting changes.


National championships: Slovan Bratislava are 5-1 at the Slovak Extraliga.


The Slovakians are on a four game winning streak in local league.


Slovan won at Banik Handlova, 91-77, on October 25.


SIGAL Prishtina are 3-0 at the Kosovo Super League and 5-0 in all competitions.


Prishtina defeated Bora, 94-81, on October 20, and won at Rahoveci, 77-68, on October 25.

Umpire 2: Marek Turcin (Slovakia) – started to officiate at age of 14, member of elite Slovak referee group for almost 20 seasons.
