Dubrava defend home court against trouble makers from Riga

Dubrava Zagreb maintained a perfect home record with a 86-74 win against Riga Zelli, on Tuesday, November 11, at the Sportska dvorana Dubrava in northern Croatia.

Four Dubrava starters finished in double figures.


None was more influential than Lovro Gnjidic.


A 24 years old captain had 13 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists.


Kristijan Krajina added 15 points.


A former Mount Saint Mary`s big man grabbed four rebounds, before he was fouled out.


John-Michael Wright checked out with a team high 16 points.


Oklahoma State University guard dished out five assists.


Frankie Fidler carried the flame for Riga Zelli.


Michigan State graduate forward scored a game high 32 points.


A former Spartan joined 30 points club but didn`t made it to all time Top 10 yet.


Fidler scored 34 points against VEF Rīga at the Latvia and Estonia league action on November 1.


The 2025 Polish Cup winner Jānis Bērziņš had 16 points and seven rebounds.



Key stats

Dubrava Zagreb shot 43 percent from the field, 25/57, including 47 percent from the three point line, 11/23.


Riga Zelli shot 36 percent from the floor, 27/74, and just 18 percent from the deep, 6/33.


Fidler was the main force inside as he went 9/10 from the two point line.


His teammates shot 12/31 and struggled in a half court game.


Dubrava Zagreb registered 20 assists on 25 field goals.


Riga Zelli scored more points off turnovers, 18-24.

Dubrava Zagreb improved to 2-1, while Riga Zelli dropped to 2-2.


Riga Zelli suffered their first loss on the road after wins at Dziki Warszawa and Go+ Peja.


Dubrava Zagreb are 2-0 on the home floor.


This was a second Zelli trip to the western Balkans as they visited Prishtina in October.


Riga Zelli point guard Toms Skuja transferred to Bundesliga side Ludwigsburg.
