Dontay Caruthers sets a new ENBL scoring record, Inter Bratislava win Group B

Dontay Caruthers shoot the lights out to guide undefeated Inter Bratislava to 94-79 home win against Keila Coolbet on Wednesday, January 15, at the Gopass arena.

Wednesday marked the first ENBL game for Keila Coolbet without their sharpshooter.


Dontay Caruthers took the scoring title instead and scored 41 points for Inter Bratislava.


The University of Buffalo point guard went 15/24 from the field, including 3/4 from the three point land, and 8/9 from the charity stripe.


Caruthers scored 19 points on 6/12 shooting from the field in the first half and erupted for 9/12 accuracy in the next 20 minutes.


Ball handler added seven rebounds, six assists and two steals.


Isaiah Cousins scored 40 points at the Slovak Extraliga game on December 29, 2024, but was injured on January 8, 2025.


He played only seven minutes against Spišski Rytieri.


Inter newcomer Shamiel Stevenson dropped 23 points in his first ENBL game.


University of Nebraska standout grabbed eight rebounds.


University of Texas at Tyler big man Milan Szabo had 12 points and 10 rebounds.


Artem Kovalov led Keila Coolbet with 27 points on 11/25 shooting from the floor and a 4/9 effort from the free throw line,


Ukrainian big man grabbed 11 rebounds, dished out four assists and forced nine fouls.

Playing without Isaiah Cousins, the hosts relied on six man rotation.


It took some time to adjust, but ball control and discipline remained the same.


The hosts took a 44-41 lead at the half but the best part was ahead.


Dontay Caruthers and Shamiel Stevenson provided amazing scoring show after the break.


Duo combined for 37 points on 15/23 shooting from the field.


It was too much for disciplined Keila, who turned the ball over just 12 times.



Game notes

Inter Bratislava improved to 7-0, while Keila Coolbet dropped to 1-4.


Aramis Naglič and his men secured the first place in Group B.


It means they will face A4 team in the quarterfinals.


Inter Bratislava won their first six games with average margin of 4.2 points.


Slovak team will end the group stage with a road game at Dinamo Bucharest.
