Dinamo Zagreb score 25 points off turnovers to outlast Brussels Basketball


Ten players scored in double figures as Dinamo Zagreb withstood a comeback attempts by Brussels Basketball to post a 95-92 road win on Tuesday, January 27, at the Complexe Sportif de Neder-Over-Heembeek in the capital of Belgium.

DeLonnie Hunt once again was the top scorer for Dinamo Zagreb.


A former Richmond Spider had 27 points on 8/15 shooting from the field and 9/10 from the charity stripe.


Hunt dished out five assists and registered two steals.


Imran Polutak contributed with 10 points and a game high 11 rebounds.


Luke Avdalovic scored 17 points.


A former University of Pacific and Northern Arizona guard went 5/9 from the three point line.


Demetric Horton led Brussels Basketball with 30 points on excellent 12/17 shooting from the floor.


He shot 6/10 from the deep.


Jalen Finch from Georgia Southern University checked out with 16 points and 10 assists.



Key stats

Brussels Basketball shot 59 percent in the first half, 16/27, for a 40-44 lead.


The hosts went 54 percent from the three point line, 6/11.


Dinamo Zagreb shot 42 percent from the field, 15-35, in the first 20 minutes.


Croatian team turned the ball over four times and scored 14 points off 11 Brussels turnovers.


Dinamo Zagreb maintained pressure on the ball and continued to score points off turnovers to turn the tide.


The visitors led by nine points, 80-71, after a three pointer by DeLonnie Hunt with 4.41 left.


Brussels Basketball went on a 2-12 run to regain a 82-83 lead with 2.05 to go.


Luke Avdalovic and Emil Savic hit back-to-back three pointers to put Dinamo back in the driving seat, 88-85.


The visitors scored seven more points after fouls to seal the game.

Dinamo Zagreb improved to 6-1, while Brussels Basketball dropped to 3-4.


Damir Mulaomerovic and his men are 3-1 on the road after wins at SIGAL Prishtina, Tindastoll and Brussels.


Dinamo Zagreb may have secured a home court advantage in the first round of playoffs.


Brussels Basketball are 1-3 on the home floor.


Serge Crevecoeur and his men will play at Tindastoll Saudarkrokur on February 10.
