BK Olomoucko blow 16 points lead, recover to secure first win

BK Olomoucko experienced a mind blowing rollercoaster in the second half but regained composure and finally defeated Dubrava Zagreb, 82-73, on Monday, November 17, at the Sportovni center Prostějov in eastern Czechia.

Canadian player Kyler Filewich impressed for BK Olomoucko.
Wofford College graduate center had 21 points on 9/11 shooting from the field and 3/6 from the free throw line.
Winnipeg, Manitoba native grabbed 15 rebounds and blocked one shot for a +/- ratio of 11.
Shooting guard Jaren Holmes led team in scoring with 22 points.
A former Iowa State University player contributed with eight rebounds, four assists and two steals.
Canadian Kobe Elvis chipped in with 16 points on 4/6 shooting from the three point line.
The University of Oklahoma graduate guard dished out a game high nine assists.
Dubrava captain Lovro Gnjidic matched Holmes in scoring, finishing with 22 points.
Point guard went 6/12 from the field and 9/14 from the charity stripe.
He added four assists, three steals and forced 10 fouls.
John-Michael Wright (Oklahoma State 2024) and Andrej Matic scored 14 and 11 points respectively.

Kyler Filewich extended Olomouc lead up to 16 points, 49-33, with 19.44 left in the second half.
Dubrava back court started to play more aggressively.
Captain Lavro Gnjidic led the charge and matched Olomoucko points tally in the third quarter, 11-11.
Thanks to Gnjidic and Andrej Matic, Dubrava took a 64-68 lead, with 07.08 to go.
BK Olomoucko answered with a 14-0 run, to regain a double digit lead, 78-68.
Jaren Holmes made a three pointer and then stole the ball to move things north.
Olomouc scored more points in the paint, 56-44.
The winners shot 37 percent from the three point line, 6/16.
Dubrava went 15 percent from the deep, 5/32.

BK Olomoucko improved to 1-3, while Dubrava Zagreb dropped to 2-2.
Olomouc club parted ways with previous head coach Andy Hipsher on August 16, as he accepted the associate head coach position at the University of Stony Brook.
Matt Jones took the coaching reins and posted a first ENBL win in his third game.
