The 2026 European North Basketball league`s technical meeting concluded on Monday, August 24, at the AC Marriott hotel Riga in Latvian capital. A 2026-2027 season format was officially announced. The 18 teams, selected in two pools of nine, will play a round robin tournament with eight games for each team – four at home, four away – from September 22, 2026 until February 4, 2027. HKK Zrinjski 1992 is the first team from Bosnia and Herzegovina to play in the European North Basketball league. Bosnia and Herzegovina was a part of Yugoslavia from 1918 until its breakup in 1991. Two most well known Bosnian basketball legends are Mirza Delibašić (1954-2001) and Dražen Dalipagić (1951-2025).
