SYNTAINICS MBC won the quarterfinal series against Donar Groningen, 180-154, to advance to the 2026 ENBL Final Four on Wednesday, March 25, at the Stadthalle Weissenfels in central Germany.

The 2025 German Cup winner won the Game One, 100-81, at the electric martiniplaza in the northern Netherlands.

Het Ziltepad – the Salt Path – wasn`t finished yet as 40 more minutes of play awaited in Weissenfels.

SYNTAINICS MBC rewarded the home crowd with a 80-73 success, their tenth win in the ENBL.

Charles Callison led the hosts with 15 points on 7/13 shooting from the field.

SYNTAINICS MBC captain had a fabolous stat line with five assists and five steals.

Khyri Thomas and RJ Gunn added 13 points each.

Four Donar starters – Austin Luke, Dane Erikstrup, Evan Taylor and Damian Forrest – finished in double figures.

Erikstrup topped the scorer list with a game high 18 points.

Key stats

Jason Dourisseau, the 2026 ENBL Coach of the Year, had eight player rotation at his disposal.

Eleven players entered the game for SYNTAINICS MBC and none played more than 28 minutes.

The German team scored more points on fast breaks, 15-11, and, especially, after turnovers, 32-6.

Charles Callison outmatched Donar in steals made, 5-3.

Donar won the battle of rebounds, 29-38, but it wasn`t enough to stop the Weissenfels Express.

SYNTAINICS MBC improved to 10-1, while Donar Groningen dropped to 6-5.

Donar Groningen became the first team from the Netherlands to play in the ENBL playoffs.

Three of their five losses – including two of their three setbacks on the road – were registered against the 2025 German Cup winners.

Donar Groningen won the 2026 Dutch Basketball Cup (DBL Cup), securing their eighth title by defeating Landstede Hammers, 78-77, on Sunday, March 22.

SYNTAINICS MBC are 6-0 on the home floor.

They are the first German team in the ENBL Final Four, as the Bamberg Baskets – the 2026 German Cup winners – lost the quarterfinal series against Dziki Warszawa a year ago.

Milenko "Mikica" Bogićević took the coaching reins of SYNTAINICS MBC on February 16 and has a 3-0 record in the ENBL.

SYNTAINICS MBC will face the best team in a duel between Dinamo Zagreb and Manchester Basketball.
