Super Wednesday: five games in Tallinn, Kapfenberg, Opava, Thessaloniki and Weissenfels

Five games are to be played on Wednesday, November 5. Iraklis BC will host the most decorated British club Newcastle Eagles, marking the first ENBL game in Greece. SYNTAINICS MBC will meet Gunārs Gailītis – brother of Jānis Gailītis, a 2025 German Cup winner with the Bundesliga club. Three more teams – Alkar Sinj, HEFTE HELFEN BULLS and Fyllingen Lions – chase their first win of the season.



TalTech ALEXELA vs Alkar Sinj


Series history: TalTech ALEXELA (1-2) will face Alkar Sinj (0-2) for the first time.


TalTech defeated HEFTE HELFEN BULLS, 61-55, on October 8.


Alkar Sinj opened their maiden ENBL campaign at CSO Voluntari, 72-92, on October 14.


Alkar lost the first home game against the Bristol Flyers, 76-81, on Octtober 21.



National championships: TalTech ALEXELA are 3-3 at the Optibet Estonia and Latvia league, and 4-5 in all competitions.


TalTech lost student derby against undefeated Tartu, 77-84, on October 25, and then dominated at Viimsi, 108-69, on November 2.


Alkar Sinj are 4-2 at the Premijer liga and 4-4 in all competitions.


Alkar won at Cedevita Junior, 88-85, on November 2.

BK Opava vs Gimle Basket


Series history: BK Opava (2-0) will face Gimle Basket (0-2) for the first time.


Opava defeated Brussels Basketball, 69-60, on October 15, and then handed a first loss to Tindastoll, 95-68, on October 20.


Gimle Basket earned their first win against Keila Coolbet, 76-75, on October 29, thanks to a game winner by Elias Demoniere.



National championships: BK Opava are 6-3 at the Kooperativa NBL, tied in the third place with Pardubice.


Opava posted six consecutive wins on October 11-29, before falling at undefeated Nymburk, 95-115, on November 1.


Gimle Basket are 6-2 at the BLNO and 7-4 in all competitions.


The Norwegians are on a four game winning streak after a 78-76 home win over Baerum Bekkestua on November 2.

Iraklis BC vs Newcastle Eagles


Series history: Iraklis BC (1-0) will face Newcastle Eagles (0-1) for the first time in the ENBL.


Iraklis opened their first ENBL campaign with a 78-69 win at Riga Zelli on October 29 – a day after the OXI day.


Newcastle Eagles lost the home opener against Dziki Warszawa, 68-91, on October 21.



National championships: Iraklis BC are 1-4 at the Greek Basketball league.


Thessaloniki club lost at Olympiacos, 87-103, on November 2.


Newcastle Eagles are 2-5 at the Super League basketball and on a six game losing streak in all competitions.


The Tyneside Boys suffered a 83-87 home loss against the Bristol Flyers on the Halloween night.

HEFTE HELFEN BULLS vs Fyllingen Lions


Series history: HEFTE HELFEN BULLS (0-3) will Fyllingen Lions (0-3) for the first time.


HEFTE HELFEN BULLS lost home games against the 2025 SLB Trophy finalists Bristol Flyers, 78-90, on September 23, and the 2025 Romania Cup winners CSO Voluntari, 80-85, on October 22.


Fyllingen Lions faced the 2025 German Cup winners, the 2025 ENBL champions and undefeated Valmiera Glass ViA in their first three games of the season.



National championships: HEFTE HELFEN BULLS are 5-2 at the Austrian BSL and 5-5 in all competitions.


The Bulls are on a three game winning streak and defeated Vienna, 96-65, on November 2.


Fyllingen Lions are 6-1 at the BLNO and 6-4 in all competitions.


The Lions defeated Baerum, 101-79, on November 1.

SYNTAINICS MBC vs Valmiera Glass ViA


Series history: SYNTAINICS MBC (2-0) will face Valmiera Glass ViA (2-0) for the first time.


The 2025 German Cup winners defeated TalTech ALEXELA, 84-57, on September 23, and won at the Fyllingen Lions, 107-64, on October 22.


Valmiera Glass ViA won at Donar Groningen, 92-88, on September 23, and defeated Fyllingen Lions, 93-75, on October 15.


Valmiera assistant coach Gunārs Gailītis is a brother of Jānis Gailītis, a former SYNTAINICS MBC coach.



National championships: SYNTAINICS MBS are 5-1 at the Bundesliga and 7-2 in all competitions.


Their first loss in Bundesliga came at the hands of Ludwigsburg, 82-93, on November 2.


Ludwigsburg recently signed a former Riga Zelli point guard Toms Skuja.


Valmiera Glass ViA are 6-0 at the Optibet Estonia and Latvia league, and 8-0 in all competitions.


Kaspars Vecvagars and his men won at Liepāja, 83-78, on October 29.
