Slovan Bratislava survive major scare at brave Gimle Basket

Slovan Bratislava trailed by 17 points midway the third quarter but fought back to post a 80-77 comeback win against Gimle Basket on Wednesday, December 10, at the Haukelandshallen in western Norway.

Jordan Watson returned to the ENBL in style.
He had a slow start, was 0/3 from the floor at the half and got an unsportmanlike foul early in the third quarter for Slovan Bratislava.
Watson found his shooting form soon after and scored 16 of his 18 points in the second half, including a 4/7 barrage from the three point line.
It was no accident – a former Valmiera point guard set an ENBL record in three pointers made (8/13) in a 81-78 overtime win against Donar Groningen on October 8, 2024.
Shamiel Stevenson was another big hitter as he collected 16 of his 27 points after the break.
Marko Radovanovič contributed with 14 points and 15 rebounds.
Last but not least, Lester Medford Jr had 10 points, seven assists and five steals.
Javonte Johnson shined for Gimle Basket.
California Baptist University graduate guard checked out with 22 points and 12 rebounds.
Johnson stole the ball four times as well.

This recap basketball legends instantly reminded me of those wild comebacks you only expect in tense arcade matches. Slovan Bratislava’s rally from 17 down felt genuinely thrilling to read.
