Lublin, a student city with impressive history, has a thriving basketball scene.

A 2023 European Youth Capital hosted Suzuki Puchar Polski in mid-February.

Polski Cukier Start Lublin reached the Cup final at Hala Globus to fall at the hands of Trefl Sopot, 80-91.

AZS UMCS Lublin back in the Polish finals

Women`s team Polski Cukier AZS UMCS Lublin advanced to the Polish finals for the first time in 2022.

A year later, the ladies are in the final again to face a EuroLeague Women team Polkowice.

AZS UMCS Lublin surprised everyone and won the game one, 77-70, on Wednesday, April 5.

Men at work

Men`s team will miss the PLK playoffs this year as they occupy the 13th place with a 8-17 record, as of April 6.

The playoff zone is five wins away and there are five games left to play in the regular season.
