Oops... Dziki Warszawa... They did it AGAIN


Dziki Warszawa posted the biggest upset of the 2026 playoffs, defeated Iraklis BC on their legendary home court, 84-83, and won the series, 173-165, to advance to the Final Four on Wednesday, April 1, at Thessaloniki, Greece.

Dziki Warszawa faced a proud team with fantastic and dedicated supporters.


They passed this test to post their biggest win of the season...so far.


Landrius Horton led all scorers with 27 points on massive 4/9 effort from the three point line and 11/14 from the free throw line.


Dziki Warszawa and Columbus State star guard scored nine points in the fourth quarter, including a 6/7 masterclass from the charity stripe.


Darnell Edge had a rock solid fourth quarter too, as he registered a key steal with less than 60 seconds left.


A former Fairleigh Dickinson University point guard finished with 13 points, three assists and two steals.


Bennett Vander Plas, Lukasz Frackiewicz and Tahlik Chavez scored in double figures too.


Dimitris Moraitis led Iraklis BC with 21 points on 7/12 shooting from the floor and 5/8 from the free throw line.


2026 Defensive Player of the Year checked out with seven assists and two steals.


DJ Funderburk had 15 points and seven rebounds.



Key stats

Both teams played very aggressively.


Four players eventually fouled out – Bennett Vander Plas and Ody Oguama for Dziki Warszawa, DJ Funderburk and Chris Smith for Iraklis BC.


Another six Dziki players and four Iraklis players received four fouls each.


Dziki Warszawa shot 80 percent from the free throw line, 34/42.


Iraklis BC shot 55 percent, 25/45, including 7/12 effort in the last 10 minutes.


The hosts were better from the three point line, 6/27 vs 8/26.


Iraklis BC also sank more shots inside the three point line, 16/29 vs 17/36.


The Greek club scored more points off turnovers, 13-18, more second chance points, 9-13, and more fast break points, 7-9.



Game notes

Dziki Warszawa improved to 8-3, while Iraklis BC dropped to 8-3.


The Wild won back-to-back games against the two time Greece champions and lead the series, 2-1.


Iraklis BC have a 103-82 record in European competitions.


Zoran Lukic and his men were 5-0 on the home floor before the second game against the Polish team.


Dziki Warszawa are 3-2 on the road.


The Wild return to the Final Four a year after their equally famous quarterfinal series win over nine times German champions, Bamberg Baskets.


Dziki Warszawa is the second club after CSO Voluntari to register back-to-back Final Four appearances.
