Iraklis led by 10 points in the first and fourth quarter but needed a great performance by Justin Wright-Foreman to overpower relentless Spartak Pleven, 72-69, on Wednesday, November 11, at the Ivanofeio hall in Thessaloniki, Greece.

Maturity and stability – Iraklis starting guard Justin Wright-Foreman delivered again.


A former Hofstra University star had a game high 24 points on 10/19 shooting from the floor and a flawless 4/4 effort from the free throw line.


Wright-Foreman added a team high eight rebounds and seven assists.


DJ Funderburk chipped with 15 points on 6/9 shooting from the floor.


NC State big man showed some great defense too – five rebounds, three steals, two blocks.


Captain Dimitris Moraitis rounded the big three performance with five points, seven assists and four steals.


Noel Brown led Spartak Pleven with 20 points.


St. Bonaventure graduate center had six rebounds and two assists.


Shooting guard Martin Rusev contributed with 17 points.


Kavaughn Scott checked out with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Spartak Pleven recovered after two Iraklis offensives.


The hosts led 16-4 midway the first quarter and 58-47 early in the fourth quarter.


A trio of Noel Brown, Martin Rusev and Kavaughn Scott helped visitors to regain composure twice.


The game went down to the wire as Spartak cut the lead to two points, 70-68, with 34 seconds left.


Justin Wright-Foreman took the game in his hands.


His jump shot doubled Iraklis lead, 72-68.


Martin Rusev was fouled outside the three point line.


He sank only the first free throw, missed second and third, 72-69.
