Joy in Zwolle as Landstede Hammers prevail over Svendborg Rabbits

The Landstede Hammers posted their first win in the European North Basketball league and defeated the Svendborg Rabbits, 77-62, on Tuesday, October 31, in front of 500 fans at the Landstede Sportcentrum.


Players of the game

Zwolle big man Noah Dickerson scored 17 of his 23 points in the second half.


A former Washington Huskies power forward relentlessly worked under the basket and grabbed 16 rebounds.


Dickerson blocked three shots and forced six fouls for a +/- ratio of 25 in 32:39 minutes of play.

Darius Quisenberry had 15 points on 7/8 effort inside the three point line.


Fordham guard added five rebounds and five assists.


Jaedon Willis answered with 17 points on 5/13 shooting from the field and a perfect 4/4 from the charity stripe.


Notre Dame College (NCAA2) standout went 3/7 from the three point line.


Key stats

Landstede Hammers outrebounded Rabbits, 49-35, especially on the offensive end, 15-6.


Noah Dickerson registered 16 rebounds alone and grabbed four offensive boards.


Zwolle team held Svendborg to 35% from the field.


Both teams struggled from the three point line: Hammers shot 22% or 8/35, while Rabbits replied with 29% or 9/31.


Game notes

Jean Marc Jaumin and Landstede Hammers debuted in the ENBL with a win.

Their competitors from the BNXT league – Royal Liège Basket – also had a winning start.


Svendborg Rabbits joined the league after Sigal Prishtina was suspended.


Noah Dickerson had 16 rebounds – a second best result in league`s history.

Four best teams from each group will qualify for the playoffs (A1-B4, A2-B3, A3-B2, A4-B1).

The 2024 playoffs – home and away, best-of-two series – will take place from February 1 until March 20.


The 2024 Final Four will take place on April 9-10.
