Drop it like it`s hot: Ironi Ness Ziona tie ENBL record to get first win

Ironi Ness Ziona players shoot the lights out to earn a 100-92 road win against Trefl Sopon on Thursday, December 1, at the Ergo arena in Tri-City, Poland.

Ironi Ness Ziona point guard made 4-of-5 three pointers and scored 14 points in the fourth quarter.

A Chicago born Ohio star finished the game with 20 points and a season high 11 assists.

He dished out two assists in the last frame.

Ronnie Harrell also scored 20 points.

Denver graduate connected 4-of-6 three point attempts.

Tyler Bey jumped in with 17 points, including a 3-of-6 barrage from the three point line.

Colorado standout grabbed four rebounds and stole the ball twice.

Garrett Nevels led all scorers with 25 points.

Trefl Sopot guard made 4-of-7 three pointers but missed the last two attempts.

Hawaii graduate posted six rebounds, a team high eight assists and four steals.

Michal Kolenda dropped 21 points on 8-of-11 shooting from the field.

Sopot captain went 3-of-5 from the deep.

Key stats

Ironi Ness Ziona had a spectacular first half.

The visitors made 10-of-14 three pointers for a 59-54 lead.

Trefl Sopot controlled the offensive rebounds, though.

The hosts outrebounded Ness Ziona 10-2 on the offensive glass to score 11 second chance points.

Sopot maintained initiative in the paint and held the visiting team to 3-of-12 shooting from the three point line during the next 10 minutes.

Žan Tabak`s team took the lead 77-79.

D.J. Cooper magic happened next as he scored another four three pointers the rest of the way.

Sopot outscored Ness Ziona in the paint 48-32 but not from the deep.

Ironi Ness Ziona tied an ENBL record in three pointers made.

In fact, the Israeli club achieved the same result with two attempts less.

Thursday also marked the second highest scoring game in league`s history.

Ironi Ness Ziona posted the first win to finish the first trip to Europe with a 1-1 record.

Trefl Sopot dropped to 0-2.

Unfortunately, Wesley Gordon was injured.
