HKK Zrinjski 1992 is the first team from Bosnia and Herzegovina to play in the European North Basketball league. Bosnia and Herzegovina was a part of Yugoslavia from 1918 until its breakup in 1991. Two most well known Bosnian basketball legends are Mirza Delibašić (1954-2001) and Dražen Dalipagić (1951-2025). Shooting guard Delibašić, nicknamed Kinde, led Bosna Sarajevo to Euroleague title in 1979. He won the 1978 World Cup in the Philippines, the EuroBasket 1975 in Belgrade
