The 2026 European North Basketball league`s technical meeting concluded on Monday, August 24, at the AC Marriott hotel Riga in Latvian capital. A 2026-2027 season format was officially announced. The 18 teams, selected in two pools of nine, will play a round robin tournament with eight games for each team – four at home, four away – from September 22, 2026 until February 4, 2027. The most decorated basketball club from Cyprus – TRIA EKA AEL BC – joins the European North Basketball league. Cyprus Basketball federation and Cyprus Basketball league were established in 1966. ECOMMBX Basket League features 10 teams and celebrated its 60 years anniversary in 2026.
