Yellow Devils rising: Urbonas and Šiauliai extend winning streak




Five Šiauliai players scored in double figures and their team posted a 107-79 home win over Keila Coolbet on Wednesday, January 10, at the Šiauliai arena in northern Lithuania.

LJ Thorpe led Šiauliai with 19 points on 7/8 shooting from the field, including a perfect 3/3 from the three point line.


UNC Asheville standout registered five assists and four steals.


Shaquille Keith had 16 points on 6/8 shooting from the field.


Canadian-Jamaican forward made both three pointers and added four assists.


Nojus Mineikis and Dachon Burke (University of South Alabama 2021) scored 16 points each.


Andrii Myronenko scored 23 points for Keila Coolbet.


Ukrainian forward went 7/10 from the three point line, tying a league record.


Kristen Kasemets followed with 18 points on 6/14 shooting from the field.


Denis Krestinin registered a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.


Lithuanian power forward added five assists, five steals and two blocks.



Key stats

Šiauliai shot 70% from the two points line and 44% from the three points line.


The hosts made 15 three pointers – it`s the seventh best result in ENBL history.


Keila players also checked out with 15 three pointers.


Šiauliai scored more points on fast breaks, 26-9.


Yellow Devils also prevailed in the paint, 48-26.


Šiauliai bench outscored Keila, 42-13.

Four best teams from each group will qualify for the playoffs (A1-B4, A2-B3, A3-B2, A4-B1).


The 2024 playoffs – home and away, best-of-two series – will take place from February 15 until March 20.


The 2024 Final Four will take place on April 9-10.
