Tough calls: quarter-finals, second round

FIBA Rules 33.7. Illegal screening is when the player who is screening an opponent was moving when contact occurred.


3. In Blue team fast break, Blue 1 go to basket and made shot. When ball was up ring, defender White 2 tap away ball. First referees call interference and count basket.


FIBA Rules 31.2.1. Goaltending occurs during a shot for a field goal when a player touches the ball while it is completely above the level of the ring and: It is on its downward flight to the basket.


White team HC correctly ask HCC. After referees use IRS, they change a decision and cancel basket. Incorrect decision by referees, because we can’t consider – ball touch a ring before White 2 tap a ball.
