Tartu Ulikool hit century mark, improve to 3-1




Tartu Ulikool Maks&Moorits (3-1) used a better ball movement and more effective shooting to hand a 100-75 loss to Borisfen Mogilev (0-2) on Thursday, December 2, at the Tartu University Sports hall.

Lamonte Bearden was unstoppable under the baskets. Western Kentucky graduate scored 20 points on 5-of-6 shooting inside the three point line and 10-of-12 accuracy from the charity stripe.

Patrik Saal led the home team in perimeter shooting, finishing the game with 16 points. He made 4-of-6 three point attempts and was perfect closer to the basket.

Saal added five rebounds and two steals.

Adomas Drungilas contributed with 13 points, seven rebounds and four assists. The Lithuanian center also blocked two shots.




Cornelius Taylor led all scorers with 23 points, including a 4-of-6 feast from the three point line.

Florida Atlantic graduate grabbed six rebounds and dished out two assists for Borisfen.

Ilya Sharipov was a constant threat too. He posted 20 points on 5-of-9 shooting from the field and 8-of-11 from the free throw line.

Finally, Nathan Hoover had 13 points, despite a 1-of-7 struggle from downtown.




Key stats

Tartu registered 36 field goals on 27 assists. Borisfen numbers – 23 and 8.


The Estonian team made 24-of-35 two point shots for a 68% accuracy. Meanwhile, Borisfen connected 15-of-42 attempts or 35%.


Tartu went on a 28-12 run in the opening frame and led by as much as 28 points later in the game.


Three Borisfen starters – Taylor, Hymon, Sharipov – and Hoover played at least 30 minutes, while Tartu used a much wider rotation.


Tartu bench outscored Borisfen 66-15.




Game notes

Five Tartu players finished in double figures.


Tartu won both home games and improved to 3-1.


Borisfen will travel to western Latvia to meet Liepāja on Saturday.
