Summon the heroes: welcome again, CSO Voluntari!

The 2025 Champions – CSO Voluntari – will continue to play in the European North Basketball league.


Bucharest club is fresh off a most successful season in its history.


Voluntari and head coach Ainars Bagatskis won two titles and reached the semifinals of Liga Nationala.


The Volunteers finished second in Group A to qualify for the 2025 ENBL playoffs.


Romanian club won the quarterfinal series against Legia Warszawa.


Voluntari defeated the Legionnaires, 95-81, on March 5 at the Hala Bemowo in Polish capital.


It was the first game for Legia with Estonian coach Heiko Rannula at the steering wheel.


Two weeks later Voluntari finished the job and advanced to the ENBL Final Four for the second consecutive year.


Legia Warszawa three months later conquered the 2025 Polish championship, after defeating Start Lublin in the best-of-seven final series, 4-3.


Voluntari won the semifinal thriller against undefeated Inter Bratislava, 107-103, to return to final.


A new Final Four scoring record was set...in the third quarter.


Voluntari became the first team in ENBL history to play in consecutive finals.


They outlasted 2025 SLB Trophy winners Newcastle Eagles, 95-82, to win the maiden title on April 9, at the iconic Gopass Arena in Bratislava, Slovakia.


Chicago Bulls legendary theme was played before teams took the center stage.


Throne Room theme by John Williams and We Are The Champions by Queen followed during the award ceremony.


Ionut Georgescu, a former Voluntari general manager, helped to present the ENBL trophy to his former team.


Mike Caffey was named the Finals Most Valuable Player.


Ainars Bagatskis and his men won their second trophy of the season after they secured the 2025 Romanian Cup.


Bagatskis posted a 18-5 record in the ENBL and 3-1 in the Final Four during his two seasons with the club.


Latvian coach recently took the coaching reins of the most decorated Polish club, Śląsk Wrocław.


Dan Ioan is the new head coach of CSO Voluntari.


He received Bachelor`s degree in Business Administration and Masters degree in Hospitality Business Administration at the University of Economic Studies of Bucharest.


He also studied at the National school for Coaches – Scoala Nationala de Antrenori.


Ioan was the coach at the SCMU Craiova, 2017-2019.


He joined CSO Voluntari in August 2019 and eyes his seventh season with the club.


CSO Voluntari was founded in 2005. 


The club has two first league teams and is represented in 14 other sports.


As of 2023, the club had 1200 people in its system.


CSO Voluntari entered the LNBM in 2019.


In March 2021, the club won the Romanian Cup for the first time and reached the LNBM semifinals.


CSO Voluntari won the second Romanian Cup in 2022 and advanced to the LNBM finals to earn a silver medal after a thrilling 1-3 loss against Cluj-Napoca.


Voluntari have shown cohesion and resilience in their way up, earning respect across all competitions.


The club signed former Latvia national team coach Ainars Bagatskis in January 2023.


CSO Voluntari home court is Sala Gabriela Szabo with a 1100 capacity.


Adrian Moldovan is the president of the club.
