Snow turns into rain as Stal Ostrow sink Ironi Ness Ziona

Stal Ostrow outscored Ironi Ness Ziona from the three point line in their ENBL debut to post a 92-76 win on Tuesday, November 29, at the Ostrow arena in front of 2359 fans.

Jakub Garbacz had a big shooting night.


A shooting guard from Radoma made 4-of-7 attempts from the three point land.


He didn`t missed inside the arc and from the free throw line to score 17 points.


Nemanja Djurišič tied Garbacz in scoring.


Montenegrin star went 6-of-7 inside the three point line and split the shots from the deep.


Georgia graduate grabbed six rebounds in defense and dished out two assists.


Damian Kulig debuted in the ENBL with a double-double.


BM Stal captain posted 15 points on 6-of-7 shooting from the field, including a 3-of-4 from the deep.


Kulig added a game high 12 rebounds and registered a +/- ratio of 21.


Ojārs Siliņš registered another impressive stat line.


A FIBA EuroChallenge champion had 10 points, nine rebounds and four assists.


His compatriot Aigars Šķēle scored 10 points and dished out six assists.


A younger brother of Armands Šķēle forced a team high five fouls.


Tyler Bey led all scorers with 28 points on 11-of-20 shooting from the field.


A Colorado standout was a 36th pick in the 2020 NBA draft and showed his value.


Bey grabbed eight rebounds and tied Siliņš with four steals.


He also forced a game high six fouls.


Shaq Buchanan struggled from the three point line.


Murray State star scored 11 points and grabbed six rebounds.


D.J. Cooper also missed all field goal attempts from downtown.


A former Ohio point guard contributed with eight points and a season high 10 assists.


C.J. Williams followed the pack as he also finished in double digits.


NC State forward had 10 points, five rebounds and three steals.



Key stats

Stal Ostrow players went 13-of-31 from the three point line to score 39 points.


Ironi Ness Ziona connected 3-of-26 attempts to reply with nine points.


Jakub Garbacz alone scored more three pointers than the opposing team.


The guests played hard in defense and shined in transition but their poor shooting cost them dearly.


Stal Ostrow started to sail away in the second quarter for a 11 point advantage at the half 53-42.


The Israeli team cut the gap to three points with 01:22 left in the third quarter 63-60.


They didn`t managed to jump ahead as Aleksander Zalucki replied with a three pointer 66-60.


Stal Ostrow outscored the visitors 24-15 in the final frame to secure a solid win.


Game notes

The teams split wins during the 2021 FIBA Europe Cup season.


Ostrow won the first encounter 93-86 on January 29 at the Hala Mistrzow in Wloclawek.


Ironi Ness Ziona posted a famous 82-74 win in the final on April 25, at the Menora Mivtachim Arena in Tel Aviv.


Tuesday marked their first meeting at Ostrow.


Ironi Ness Ziona has a 4-2 record at the Winner league just behind Maccabi Tel Aviv, Hapoel Tel Aviv and Hapoel Jerusalem.
