Shine bright like Goodwin: Budivelnyk double the win count

Budivelnyk Kyiv starters combined for 59 points to score a 74-63 win over Enea Zastal Zielona Gora on Sunday, November 27, at the Ring Sport arena in Tallinn, Estonia.

Archie Goodwin had a huge game.

Kentucky star was omnipresent and delivered in many possible ways.

Goodwin led Budivelnyk in scoring (17), assists (9) and steals (4).

Center Jerai Grant contributed with 16 points on 7-of-14 shooting inside the three point line.

Johnny Berhanemeskel added 13 points.

University of Ottawa standout had three rebounds and three assists too.

Alen Hadžibegovič scored 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds for Zielona Gora.

Key stats

Budivelnyk outscored Zastal in the paint during the first half 30-18.

Archie Goodwin stole the ball three times and launched counterattacks – they allowed the Ukrainian team to score more points in the fast breaks 8-5.

The Kyivites moved the ball extremely well, making 14 out of 17 field goals after assists in the first half alone.

Alen Hadžibegovič stepped up for Zastal to counter Budivelnyk in the paint.

Thanks to his efforts Zielona Gora won the third quarter and stayed in the game 60-52.

Aleksandar Zečevič cut the gap to six points 64-58 with 05:37 left.

His teammates turned the ball over a couple of times and it cost them dearly.

Bobrov`s three pointer and Grant`s dunk renewed a double digit lead for Kyiv 69-58.
