Rosenthal scores 17 points in the fourth quarter, Tartu win Superkarikas 2021



Tartu Ulikool Maks&Moorits scored 36 points in the final 10 minutes to beat perennial rival Kalev/Cramo 82-73 and claim the 2021 Estonia Supercup on Sunday, December 19, at Tartu sports hall.

Mart Rosenthal posted 17 of his 19 points in the fourth quarter.


Shooting guard was unstoppable – he scored from the field or went to the free throw line.


Rosenthal connected 9-of-10 attempts from the charity stripe.



He added five rebounds and six assists for a game high efficiency rating of 26.


Forward Hendrik Eelmae added 15 points on 5-of-7 shooting from the field and 3-of-4 from the free throw line.

Adomas Drungilas stepped up with 13 points and eight rebounds.


Lithuanian power forward former a powerful frontcourt duo with Emmanuel Wembi.


Lenoir-Rhyne standout had 11 points on perfect 4-of-4 shooting from the field and 3-of-3 from the free throw line.



Edmunds Elksnis came from the bench to score another 11 points, including a 3-of-7 effort from downtown.

Head coach Nikolajs Mazurs won his first trophy with Tartu University.


Mazurs met his fellow Latvians – Roberts Štelmahers and Akselis Vairogs – in the final.

Tartu won against the odds as the student team has a 2-9 record in the Pafbet Estonia-Latvia league.

Kalev/Cramo has a 7-1 record despite playing in two other competitions – the Basketball Champions league and the VTB United league.

A day before Tartu won a semifinal clash against TalTech 88-71.
