The most intense two days in Group B are ahead. Seven out of eight teams maintain chances to qualify for the playoffs. Let`s check out some of the possible – including a highly hypothetical – scenarios.
Stal Ostrow (4-1) will qualify automatically:
with one win in the remaining two games against BC Wolves and Trefl Sopot.
King Szczecin (4-0) will qualify automatically:
with one win in the remaining three games against Tartu Ulikool, Valmiera Glass ViA and BC Wolves.
Ironi Ness Ziona (3-2) will qualify:
with two wins over Valmiera Glass ViA and Tartu Ulikool;
with a win over Valmiera + a positive four way tie between Ironi Ness Ziona, Trefl, Wolves and Tartu (as of today, Ness Ziona has a 2-0 record against Trefl and Wolves);
with two losses, including a loss by 1-3 points against Tartu Ulikool + a three way tie between Tartu Ulikool, Ironi Ness Ziona and BC Wolwes (as of today: Ness Ziona 1-0, +6; Wolves 1-1, -4; Tartu 0-1, -2).
Trefl Sopot (3-2) will qualify:
with two wins over Basket Brno and Stal Ostrow;
with a win over Basket Brno + a two way tie between Trefl Sopot and BC Wolves (Trefl won by three points);
with a win over Basket Brno + a positive four way tie between Trefl Sopot, Ironi Ness Ziona, BC Wolves and Tartu Ulikool (Trefl has a 2-1 record against Ness Ziona, BC Wolves and Tartu Ulikool);
with a win over Stal + a highly hypothetical five way tie between Trefl Sopot, Stal Ostrow, Ness Ziona, BC Wolves and Tartu Ulikool (as of today, Trefl Sopot has a 2-1 record against Ness Ziona, BC Wolves and Tartu Ulikool).
Tartu Ulikool (2-3) will qualify:
with two wins over King Szczecin and Ironi Ness Ziona + a three way tie between Ironi Ness Ziona, Tartu Ulikool and Trefl Sopot (as of today: Ness Ziona 1-0, +8; Trefl 1-1, -4; Tartu 0-1, -4).
with a win over Ironi Ness Ziona by 4 points + a three way tie between Tartu Ulikool, Ironi Ness Ziona and BC Wolves (as of today: Ness Ziona 1-0, +6; Wolves 1-1, -4; Tartu 0-1, -2).
BC Wolves (2-2) will qualify:
with three wins over Stal Ostrow, Basket Brno and King Szczecin;
with two wins over Basket Brno and King Szczecin + a highly hypothetical two way tie between BC Wolves and Tartu Ulikool (Wolves won by two points).
Basket Brno (1-4) will qualify:
1) with two wins over Trefl Sopot and BC Wolves + a four way tie between Basket Brno, Trefl Sopot, BC Wolves and Tartu Ulikool (additional criteria – Brno over Trefl; Wolves over Tartu).
