Back-to-back-to-back. Basket Brno is another team which will continue to play in the European North Basketball league after its debut in 2021.

The Czech team made it to the 2022 ENBL Final Four and earned a bronze medal.

Richard Balint was included in the All Star team.

A short time later Basket Brno won its first medal in the Czech league since 2007.

The last season was even better until the start of the playoffs.

Basket Brno won the Kooperativa NBL regular season with a 25-11 record, the same as ERA Basketball Nymburk.

Brno suffered a 2-4 quarterfinal loss against the 2023 Czech champion Opava and finished fifth.

Lubomír Růžička`s team also made it to the Czech Cup final but dropped the decisive game against Armex Dečin, 74-87.

Růžička parted the ways with team after four seasons in Brno and signed at the Hungarian club Zalakeramia ZTE KK.

With Lubomír Růžička at helm, Basket Brno won three medals – bronze in the Kooperativa NBL and the ENBL in 2022, silver in the Czech Cup 2023.

He regularly gave opportunities to young players and established the Next Generation program.

Martin Vaněk took the coaching reins on June 12, 2023.

He has worked in the club since 2017.

A Nymburk native was previously appointed as the youth head coach and also worked as an assistant coach at the U18 national team.

His assistant will be Jan Pavlik, whom everyone knows by his nickname Vasil.

Jan Pavlik played for Brno from 1996 until 2004, representing the city in 226 matches.

Captain Jakub Krakovič will stay in Brno, the club announced on June 20.

Krakovič will play his fifteenth season in the Czech top flight.

“It's simple. The season didn't end as expected, and I'm even more motivated now!” Krakovič explained his decision to stay in Brno.

Ondřej Šiška has returned to Brno after eight year absence.

He was a teammate of Krakovič in the season 2014-2015.

Meanwhile, Šimon Puršl has signed at BK Opava.

A new season will start on September 23 with a road game at USK Praha.
