Know your referees: Final 4 edition


Six referees from four countries will work at the 2022 EWBL Final Four on March 19-20 at the Diplomat arena in Pieštany, Slovakia.

Donatas Dutkus and Tomaš Holubek will work at their second EWBL Final 4.





Maria Donovalova (Slovakia):

  • Attended the FIBA Camp for potential National Referees at Sarajevo, BIH in 2016

  • National referee from 2016

  • The best game recently – Slovak Women`s cup bronze medal game 2022

  • Next goal – to work at the men`s matches, like Extraliga muži

Peter Zenis (Slovakia):

  • FIBA referee from 2010

  • National referee from 2005

  • Has worked at numerous Extraliga muži finals, FIBA EuroChallenge, FIBA Cup and many other competitions

Donatas Dutkus(Lithuania):

  • NKL referee from 2016

  • Has worked at the 2017 EWBL final in Košice

  • Has worked at ESBA championships 2016-2019

  • Multi-years experience at the EWBL

Veronika Vavrova (Czech Republic):

  • Referee license since 2000

  • FIBA referee from 2017

  • Czech NBL Men since 2021

  • Has worked at the 2021 FIBA U19 World Cup for Women

Kristīne Simanoviča (Latvia)

  • FIBA referee from 2019

  • Has worked at several Latvia Women`s basketball league finals

  • More than 10 games at FIBA tournaments in 2021-2022, including designations by the EuroLeague Women

Tomas Holubek (Czech Republic):

  • Referee with a 30 years experience

  • Has worked at the NBL for 12 years

  • Has worked at the WNBL (ŽBL) for 17 years

  • Has worked at the 2019 EWBL Final 4
