KK Dubrava Zagreb is the first club from Croatia to play in the European North Basketball league.

Zagreb born and Zadar raised Krešimir Čosič holds the most basketball medals in Croatia.
Čosič played for the Brigham Young University, 1969-1973, and posted excellent results as a coach too.
Mirko Novosel, a former Lokomotiva Zagreb player, coached Cibona Zagreb, Yugoslav national team and Croatia national team.
Aleksandar Petrovič, a brother of Dražen, is a head coach of Brazil national team.
KK Dubrava was founded in 1976 and will celebrate its 50 years anniversary in 2026.
The biggest success came from 1996 until 1999 – then Benston Zagreb made it to the Croatia league semifinals three years in a row.
KK Dubrava finished sixth at the Favbet Premier league in 2022 and 2024, eighth in 2023 and ninth in 2025.
Club reached semifinals of the Croatia Cup – named after Krešimir Čosič – in 2022 and 2024.
KK Dubrava under the name KK Benston played at the FIBA organized Radivoje Korač cup from 1996 until 2002.

Croatians faced BK Redstone Olomoucko on November 15, 2023, while Kapfenberg Bulls and Spišski Rytieri played in another group.
The club focuses its activities on younger age categories, and for more than twenty years hosts the prestigious U13 tournament “Christmas Cup” – Božični Kup, which has featured famous basketball players led by Luka Dončič.
The Dubrava jersey has been worn by Croatian national team members Dario Šarič, Zoran Planinič, Dalibor Bagarič and Mate Skelin.
Darko Krunič, today`s sports director of KK Dubrava, is the best scorer in club`s history.
