Voluntari defeat Zielona Gora on the second floor, Šiauliai advance

CSO Voluntari outrebounded Zastal Zielona Gora on the offensive glass and posted a 97-77 victory on Wednesday, January 31, at the Sala Gabriela Szabo in southern Romania. Šiauliai booked a ticket to the playoffs.

Trevon Allen scored 15 of his 21 points in the first half for CSO Voluntari.

A former Idaho Vandal point guard went 5/8 from the three point line, including a 3/5 effort in the first 20 minutes.

Point guard added six rebounds, five assists and one steal in just 23 minutes of play.

Titus Nicoara took over in the second half.

Center scored 13 points after the halftime break.

Nicoara finished with 17 points on 7/8 shooting from the floor, including a three pointer made.

Fellow big man Alexandru Olah also registered seven field goals.

He scored 16 points, while power forward KeyShawn Feazell (Creighton 2022) chipped in with 15 points.

Jan Wojcik led Zastal Zielona Gora with 19 points on 9/11 shooting from the field.

Power forward contributed with two rebounds and one steal.

James Washington had 13 points.

A former Middle Tennessee State University point guard dished out seven assists.

Michal Kolodziej dropped 12 points.

The 2024 playoffs – home and away, best-of-two series – will take place from February 15 until March 20.

The 2024 Final Four will take place on April 9-10.
